On the Wednesday before my c-section, Feb 8th, my mom flew in from Utah so she could help with Lydia while we were in the hospital and then help me when I got home. It was SO nice having her here even though she only got to stay a week, we enjoyed every min. When she came she brought Lydia a little quilt to wrap "her baby" up in. It is adorable and Lydia loved it so much that she practically commandeered it for her own, that is until my mom showed her how to wrap her baby in it. We were so excited when she showed up that Lydia promptly took the blanket and made herself comfortable on top of my mom's suitcase as if to saw she can never leave again. It was so great to see that Lydia hadn't forgotten her grandma and in fact got rather excited when she recognized a picture that my mom was in on our wall. Later that night just before Lydia went to bed I was sitting on the couch cuddling Lydia and then my mom came and sat down. Lydia got right up and went to sit with her grandma. The little stinker never does that so it was high props to my mom. It settled me quite a bit about being away from her for so long while I was in the hospital.
Lydia and the quilt my mom made for her baby on top of the suitcase.
Her baby and the quilt.
She also got a Princess Tiana crown that she doesn't wear strictly on top of her head. For whatever reason I guess it's just as much fun to look out of the crown.
Since my mom was gone for Valentines Day, my dad sent this beautiful bouquet of flowers for her.
The night before my mom came we were dancing in our bedroom and I just had to include this video of my little dancer.
On top of the suitcase once again but this time with Grandma's sweater.
It was also useful for reaching things she shouldn't be reaching.
